# cowboy cowchat

> Register chat services and create encrypted rooms on them

`cowboy cowchat` registers hosted chat services, lists them and creates end-to-end encrypted rooms on them. To set up rooms for actors, see [`cowboy rooms`](https://docs.cowboy.inc/cli-specs/cowboy-rooms).

## cowboy cowchat register-service

Register or replace this key's hosted service endpoint. The first registration locks a refundable one-CBY bond

### cowboy cowchat rooms create

Create an end-to-end encrypted room owned by this key. Every pinned key holder attests the owner-signed setup; the room key is generated and wrapped locally and never reaches the server

| `--service <SERVICE>` | Operator address of the service to use, when the chain lists several |
