# cowboy credit

> Claim the one-time credit for a new account

`cowboy credit claim` opens the claim page and waits for the money to arrive in your wallet. Each Google account and each wallet can claim once. [Billing](https://docs.cowboy.inc/hire/billing.md) covers what comes after.

```bash theme={"system"}
cowboy credit claim
```

```text theme={"system"}
cowboy credit [OPTIONS] <COMMAND>
```

| Command | Description |
| - | - |
| [`claim`](#cowboy-credit-claim) | Claim this network's one-time new-account credit on the web (bigsky and Cloud), then wait for it to arrive |

## cowboy credit claim

Claim this network's one-time new-account credit on the web (bigsky and Cloud), then wait for it to arrive

```text theme={"system"}
cowboy credit claim [OPTIONS]
```

| Option | Description |
| - | - |
| `--address <ADDRESS>` | Wallet to credit; defaults to the discovered wallet |
| `--device` | Print a short code to approve on any device instead of opening this computer's browser (always so in non-interactive mode) |
| `--no-browser` | Print the claim page's URL without opening a browser |
| `--no-wait` | Print the URL (or the device code) and exit without waiting for the credit |
| `--timeout-secs <TIMEOUT_SECS>` | How long to wait for the credit, in seconds (10 to 86400; the balance is read every 3 seconds). Default: `900`. |

The claim page asks for Google sign-in and pays once per Google account and once per wallet. With `--device`, or in non-interactive mode, the CLI prints a short code and a link instead: a person approves the code on any device, and the CLI waits for the answer.
