# cowboy topup

> Add money to your wallet by card

`cowboy topup` prints a link where you pay by card, then waits for the money to arrive. The amount is in CBY. See [Billing](https://docs.cowboy.inc/hire/billing.md).

| Argument | Description |

| `<AMOUNT>` | Additional amount needed in CBY (at most 9 decimal places) |

| `--dashboard-url <DASHBOARD_URL>` | Dashboard origin (HTTPS, or HTTP localhost for local development). Env: `COWBOY_DASHBOARD_URL`. |
| `--json` | Emit a link JSON record, then a terminal result/error envelope (NDJSON) |
