# cowboy version

`cowboy version --json` also lists every command that accepts `--json`; see [Script the CLI](https://docs.cowboy.inc/references/cli-json.md).

| `--json` | Emit one versioned JSON result: the version and every visible command that accepts `--json`, with the id of the envelope schema it writes (such as cowboy-command/v2), not a schema of its arguments |
