# E1011 — Transaction chain_id does not match this chain

# E1011 — Transaction chain\_id does not match this chain

## What happened

Transaction chain\_id does not match this chain (tx=\{tx\_chain\_id}, node=\{node\_chain\_id}).

This error is returned by the RPC when the transaction is submitted (HTTP 400), not in a receipt; it is produced by `wrong_chain_id` in `core/rpc/src/error.rs` and carries the same `docs_url`. Placeholders in braces are filled from the failing transaction.

## Why it happened

The node rejected the operation with `E1011` (category `validation`, Validation). The receipt's `why` field carries the specific cause and `context` carries structured details, such as the values that filled the placeholders above.

## How to fix

Rebuild and re-sign the tx with the node's chain\_id.
