# E1230 — A cross-actor call targeted a handler the caller is not authorized to invoke

## What happened

PVM execution error: \{message}.

This is the receipt's `what` template: the SDK exception `cowboy_sdk.errors.PermissionDeniedError` supplies the message, and the receipt's `why` and `fix` come from that exception's class attributes. Placeholders in braces are filled from the failing transaction.

## Why it happened

The node rejected the operation with `E1230` (category `runtime`, Runtime). The receipt's `why` field carries the specific cause and `context` carries structured details, such as the values that filled the placeholders above.

The normative rule is in CIP-6 §5.6.

## How to fix

Handler call denied by deny-by-default call permissions: the caller is not authorized. Mark the handler @public, or grant access with @callable\_by(...) / OWNER / SELF.
