# E1805 — Acquire epoch range too large

| Property | Value |
| - | - |
| **Code** | `1805` |
| **Slug** | `E1805` |
| **Category** | `watchtower` (Watchtower) |
| **CIP** | CIP-7 |

## What happened

Acquire epoch range too large (requested \{requested}, max \{max}).

This is the receipt's `what` text, produced by the host-call result `HostError::AcquireRangeTooLarge`. Placeholders in braces are filled from the failing transaction.

## Why it happened

The node rejected the operation with `E1805` (category `watchtower`, Watchtower). The receipt's `why` field carries the specific cause and `context` carries structured details, such as the values that filled the placeholders above.

The normative rule is in CIP-7.

## How to fix

Split the access purchase into multiple acquire\_epoch\_access calls.
