Unknown error code

You followed a docs_url ending in /errors/unknown. The node emits that URL when a structured error carries a code that is not in its error registry (core/storage/src/error_codes.rs), so there is no dedicated page for it.

What to do

  • Read the receipt’s code, what, why and context fields directly; they carry the emitter’s message even when no page exists.
  • Check the error code reference. The code may belong to a newer node release than these docs, or the docs may lag the registry.
  • If a current node emits an unregistered code, report it with the transaction hash: every code the node emits is meant to have a registry entry, and the node’s own tests check that.
